About Golden Eagle Rugby
Golden Eagle Rugby combines two affiliated Atlanta Youth Rugby clubs. War Eagle Rugby, and the Buckhead Bulls. It now includes sides at the following age groups: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 (JV) & U19 (HS V). Founded in 2012, Atlanta Youth Rugby (AYR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to building character and athleticism while fostering sportsmansbhip and community in a fun, safe and inclusive atmosphere across the Greater Atlanta. Rugby, one of the newest Olympic sports, is also one of the fastest-growing scholarship sports in America. All body types can have a role, and rugby develops conditioning and unselfish teamwork like no other game. The club benefits from 3 or more coaches at each level. Our coaches are all volunteers and take no compensation for the time they put into developing the program, the players, and their teams. The coaching team is a combination of newcomers to the game all the way up to ex-club and international players from Europe, the UK, Argentina, Kenya and South Africa.

Player Scholarship Fund
Although the cost of participation is Atlanta Youth Rugby is significantly less than other comparable sports, the price can be too high for some would-be players. In support of AYR's commitment to provide access to Rugby for under-privileged children, Golden Eagle Rugby are setting up a a scholarship fund to help support some of these players, allowing them to be part of the club and part of the game. This includes USA Rugby/AYR Registration, transportation to and from practices, full kit, tour travel and hotel costs. The contribution is $1,500 per player. For those who want to make an individual contribution (which may also be tax deductible), we are staring a Golden Eagle Ruby Patrons Club. These donations will help cover your costs, equipment such as rugby balls, cones, and tackle pads. As a Patron, you will appear on the Patron Club section of our website And in certain media posta. Looking Forward
After significant success on the pitch over the last 2 seasons, Golden Eagle Rugby Club is looking to establish itself as one of the region's 'must play' teams. The growing club includes players from over a dozen Atlanta schools and coaches who come from all corners of the world, many of whom have played at the National or International level. From this group of volunteers, we have put a club management structure in place to guide the growth and development of all levels of the club. Many of our club’s alumni have gone on to play for their universities and colleges, which is further evidence of the growth of the game in the USA.
Our goal is to grow based on the rugby ethos, giving all players opportunities to play and develop themselves at all levels while providing our community with a globally recognized and growing sport to participate in.
For this growth to take place, we need to create a funding pipeline to support all age groups by providing equipment and supplies, game and practice fields as well as covering touring and collegiate level preparation camps.
So please help by providing support where you can, to help grow this sport and our club for the benefit of the kids and our communities.
